A man has been arrested after a woman with a toddler in a pushchair was stabbed in an attempted robbery, the Metropolitan Police said.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, the force said.
Police were called just before 5pm on Friday to reports of a stabbing on Caedmon Road, Islington, north London.
Christel Stainfield-Bruce, 36, was found with a stab wound to the leg alongside her son, who wasn’t injured, sleeping in his pram.
She was taken to hospital and later released to recover at home.
Police said Stainfield-Bruce’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers continue to investigate, Scotland Yard added.
