Cardi B will no longer be headlining Parklife festival this weekend, as she continues to recover from plastic surgery.
The hip-hop star was set to close the mainstage at the Manchester event on Saturday, but organisers have confirmed this will no longer be the case.
A statement posted on the event’s Twitter page reads: “As some of you will have seen, Cardi B was forced to cancel some performances in May.
“The Parklife team have just been notified that Cardi now also needs to pull out of Parklife this weekend.
“As such, there will be some changes to the previously advertised line-up, stage splits and times.”
After reiterating that the late notice is due to the fact organisers “have only just had confirmation from Cardi’s team that she will not be able to perform”, they add: “We all remain super excited for Parklife this weekend and cannot wait to see you in a completely transformed Heaton Park.”
Cardi cancelled several tour dates last month, with a representative for the musician saying she was adhering to “strict doctors’ orders”.
In an Instagram video posted at the time, she added :“You know, I hate cancelling shows because I love money.
’I’m a money addict and I get paid a lot of money. A lot of money for these shows, like I’m cancelling millions of dollars in shows.
“But like, health is wealth, so I have to do what I have to do… My breasts gotta fucking heal, and it is what it is.”
Despite the cancellations, Cardi has performed at a few gigs in recent weeks, including a US festival last weekend.
