The first photos of the revamped Love Island villa have been unveiled, ahead of the launch of this year’s series.
Unlike other reality shows like Big Brother, Love Island tends to keep its residence looking fairly similar year-to-year, giving viewers the feel of coming home when a new series rolls around every summer.
New photos have revealed that it’s very much business as usual in the villa, with one communal bedroom with verrry cramped double beds for the couples, a kitchen area (not that it ever gets much use, of course) and a lavish outdoor space for the contestants to soak up the sun.
There are a few small tweaks this time around though, most notably the bright and eye-catching colour scheme, and the fact the villa’s jacuzzi has been moved from the communal outdoor area to the hideaway, where producers are no doubt hoping it can get a bit more use in an intimate environment.
In its place is a brand new seating area, where the contestants can sit and have private chats away from the group.
The aforementioned hideaway – a Love Island staple, where couples can enjoy some intimate time away from the rest of the villa – is also returning.
But listen, we know what you really want is just to get a look at the place before the new series kicks off, so have a click through here…
Love Island returns to our screens on Monday June 3 at 9pm on ITV2, with contestants including the brothers of boxer Tyson Fury and Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard, Tommy and Curtis.
One of this year’s hopefuls, former flight attendant Amy Hart, has already landed herself in a bit of bother, after claiming that Kirsty Allsopp was her worst ever celebrity passenger, which the Location, Location, Location host took issue with.
