Killing Eve Series 2 Officially Has A UK Premiere Date

Killing Eve fans, rejoice! We finally know when the show will air here in the UK.

After what has felt like an excruciating wait, the BBC has confirmed that the second series will begin airing weekly on BBC One from Saturday June 8 at 9.15pm.

The news was announced on Twitter, alongside a trailer for the show:

While the episodes will air weekly, they’ll all arrive on iPlayer shortly after the premiere – so if you want to binge watch the lot, you’ll be able to.

Killing Eve is produced by BBC America and the entire second season has already aired in the States, where it was met with positive reviews.

A third series of the programme has also been confirmed, with another writer – Fear The Walking Dead’s Suzanne Heathcote – taking over the story.

The drama has made a household name out of Jodie Comer, while Sandra Oh made history when she won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of detective Eve Polastri.

Teasing the second series at its US premiere earlier this year, Sandra promised that things were going to get even “darker”.

“In some ways, it’s like in season one Eve is kind of opening up and beginning to figure things out and season two is going right down,” she said. “It’s almost like season one she’s like ‘there’s some kind of rabbit hole, what is that?’.

“She plunges into it in season two.”
