Stacey Solomon Misses Her Baby Bump: ‘My Belly Is Shrinking By The Day’

Stacey Solomon has told fans how much she misses her bump now she’s given birth to her third child.

The 29-year-old mum, who recently welcomed a baby boy, says she’s “devastated” her belly is shrinking by the day. “I wish it could stay around for a little longer,” she wrote. “I feel empty and hollow. Not to mention like I’ve been punched in the vagina.”

Posting a photo of Swash kissing her stomach, Solomon reflected on the fact her partner hadn’t had any photos with her bump while she was pregnant.

“I’ve lost it today,” she wrote. “I don’t feel I appreciated [my bump] enough while I was pregnant and now it’s over. Joe and I didn’t have one picture of him with my bump.

“The thought of not having that memory has been really getting me down so today, Joe and my Dad helped me get a picture of what’s left of my bump to cheer me up. I love them so much.”

The mum-of-three also discussed the pressure to “snap back” after giving birth. “For the record, for all of the people who asked me how excited I was to get my pre-baby body back? Was I hoping to ‘snap back’? Am I going to train? I hate these questions. They’re pointless. And not important or relevant.

“No one knows how they’re going to feel, and what we look like after birth is the very least of our worries.”

Solomon has shared many body positive posts since announcing her pregnancy, telling fans in April 2019: “I honestly love how much stretch marks shine in the sun! Natural glitter.”

Fans have flocked to the comments of her latest post, with many relating to that “empty” feeling after giving birth. “Oh honey, I found the emotion overwhelming after I had our little girl,” one person wrote. “Just keep being with your amazing family and getting cuddles and having that cry if you need it.”

Another mother commented: “Such an honest post and so true! Everyone assumes every woman wants to have a flat stomach back straight away but the truth is some of us mourn the feeling of carrying and protecting a little baby inside us.

“Feeling powerful, yet nervous the whole time. It’s a magical time.
It will pass but take it day by day. You have the right to be emotional. One chapter has closed but a new one opens.”
