I’m a huge fan of & Other Stories. It’s where I’ve bought some of my favourite pieces – an incredibly camp sequin wrap dress, a round snake cross-body bag and a red spot wrap skirt that I wear to death the second the sun comes out.
As a print addict, I also love that it was one of the first high street brands to repeat statement prints across different products. So if a maxi dress doesn’t suit you, you can often find the same print on a skirt or t-shirt. A nice touch.
But there is one thing I don’t like about & Other Stories: shopping online. The website is a total pain and delivery takes ages (and costs loads). In fact, I end up skipping the website and heading to a store to take my chances on an item being on the shopfloor – which it often isn’t – meaning the brand pretty often misses out on my cash.
Although perhaps not any longer, as & Other Stories has now launched on Asos – and, if like me, you decided spending a tenner on a year’s worth of premier delivery was a good idea, you can now order clothes to arrive the next day.
Here are 12 pieces from the summer collection that we love. If it’s good enough for Kate Middleton, who wore an & Other Stories floral midi dress at Chelsea Flower Show, it’s good enough for us.
Belted Scallop Edge Jumpsuit In Bright Green, £89
You can’t go wrong with a jumpsuit – especially a show-stopping one in turquoise. The scalloped hem is the kind of seaside nod we’re into. Perfect for weddings with a pair of equally bright heels or dressed down with a pair of sandals and a denim jacket.
Bandeau Bikini Top, £27, and High-Waisted Bikini Bottoms, £27
Channel your inner Cher Horowitz with this check high-waisted bikini. Classy yet casual, wear with a large straw sunset for ultimate style (and sun safety) points.
Cotton Blend Wrap Blouse In Blue Coffee Bean Print, £49
This isn’t just any wrap top, it’s a wrap top with button closure and a peplum hem, if you don’t mind. We’d pair with oversized statement earrings and some white mum jeans – turned up at the ankle, obvs. If you love the blue, coffee bean print but the top isn’t for you, it’s also available as a midaxi dress.
Wrap Jumpsuit In Tropical Flower Print, £89
Another jumpsuit: this time in a fun tropical print with a flattering wrap top. What’s more, it’s got pockets. Did someone say holiday? This print is also available as a mini wrap dress.
Low Cut Swimsuit With Back Detail In Tropical Print, £45
& Other Stories does swimsuits well, with bold prints and classic cuts. We like the low criss-cross back. Not just for swimming, we’d wear as a body with denim shorts at festivals. This print is also available as a triangle bikini.
Woven Straw Seashell Clutch Bag, £35
Straw bags are everywhere at the moment. But while most take the form of shopper or beach bags, this shell clutch is the perfect holiday dinner companion. Big enough to hold some sunnies and a bright lippy for those bright summer evenings.
Embroidered V-Neck Cotton Kaftan With Yellow Details, £69
Perfect for chucking over a swimsuit or worn for a casual meal out on a summer’s eve. We love the pompom sleeve detail and the yellow embroidered detail.
Belted Linen Blend Tailored Shorts Co-Ord In Pink, £69, and Oversized Linen Blend Blazer, £89
Nail the ultimate smart casual lewk in this co-ord linen short suit – whether it’s to the office or as a wedding guest. The best bit? They can be worn separately, which makes them totally worth it.
Midi Skirt In Yellow Geometric Print, £49
This high-waisted wrap skirt is the perfect throw on and go skirt to wear this summer. Pair with a crop top for a boho look or, for something more causal, tuck in a white tee and pair with white trainers.
Tie Dye Midi Slip Dress In Green And Yellow, £89
Grungy yet feminine, we love the way the colours and lace work together on this tie-dye number. If it gets a bit nippy, wear a white t-shirt underneath it to keep your shoulders cosy, and pair with a black leather jacket for a tougher look. Love tie-dye? Shop the trend with our guide here.
