Tributes have poured in for Hollywood legend Doris Day, following her death at the age of 97.
It was confirmed on Monday that she had died at her California home, after recently contracting a serious case of pneumonia.
After news of her death broke, stars from across the entertainment world paid their respects online.
Fashion designer Stella McCartney was among the first, posting a recent photo of herself and Doris together.
“The one, the only, the woman who inspired so much of what I do…” she wrote.

The star’s charity organisation, the Doris Day Animal Foundation, confirmed the news of her death, revealing she had been surrounded by close friends when she died at her home in Carmel Valley, California.
After her breakthrough role in 1948;s Romance on the High Seas, Doris became one of the screen’s most popular leading ladies and the world’s biggest box-office star from 1960 to 1964.
Her film credits included Calamity Jane, Bringing Up Baby, That Touch Of Mink, Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back.
Her final film was With Six You Get Eggroll, a 1968 comedy about a widow and a widower and the problems they have when blending their families.
Doris was also a hugely successful music star, making more than 650 recordings for her Columbia Records label during her three-decade career as a singer.
It has been 30 years since Doris last appeared in public, when she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 1989 Golden Globes.
She gave her final TV interview in 1994 but since then, she’s given only a handful of print interviews, most recently speaking to the Hollywood Reporter to mark her 97th birthday in April.
