Amy Schumer, whose pregnancy coincided almost exactly with Meghan Markle’s, has announced her baby’s name.
Sharing an image on Instagram of her adorable newborn being hugged by his father, chef Chris Fischer, she revealed their son is called Gene Attell Fischer.
His unusual middle name is thought to be a tribute to Schumer’s friend and fellow comic Dave Attell.

Schumer detailed her pregnancy in her Netflix special Growing, where she managed to perform despite suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of pregnancy sickness – the same sickness the Duchess Of Cambridge experienced.
She’s been open about struggling during pregnancy. Appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, she said: “It’s been pretty tough; I didn’t know that pregnancies were such a bummer.”
The Emmy and Peabody Award-winner also spoke about her pregnancy syncing up almost exactly with Markle’s, which turned out to be amazingly prescient – the two of them ended up giving birth within hours of each other.
