As if one baby announcement weren’t enough for today, Amy Schumer has also announced the birth of her firstborn son – with a gorgeous family snap on Instagram.
“10:55pm last night. Our royal baby was born,” the Hollywood actor, 37, captioned a picture of herself and husband Chris Fischer, 39, who she married last year, with their newborn.
The news came hours after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also announced their arrival on Instagram.
But Schumer may have just beaten Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to it, giving birth late Sunday night in the US – the other side of midnight to the royal Baby Sussex.

On the other side of the Atlantic in the UK, the Duchess of Sussex, also 37, gave birth to her son at 5.26am on Monday morning, weighing 7lb 3oz.
Baby Sussex will be the seventh in line to the throne and an eighth great-grandchild for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Stars including Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson, Kelly Rowland and Gal Gadot flocked to wish Schumer and her new family in the comments.
Unlike Meghan, who must abide by certain royal protocol, Schumer has kept her fans posted about her pregnancy with regular tongue-in-cheek updates – from her naked photoshoot when she was six months’ pregnant to a picture demonstrating the difficulties of putting socks on with a massive baby bump.
Schumer even announced her pregnancy unexpectedly, dropping a hint on her own feed before directing fans to a friend’s social media for the news.

Three days ago, she joked on Instagram: “Does it feel to everyone like I’ve been pregnant for a long time? It must be getting annoying to you all that I’m still pregnant.”
She even had a waddle around the Met Ball red carpet “on the way to the hospital”, she said in a separate post.
Like Meghan and Harry, Schumer and Fischer have yet to name their son – at least publicly.
We’re likely to hear from both couples soon, but here are the latest odds on the royal baby name while we wait.
