The Nail Colours You’ll Be Wearing This Summer, According To Top Manicurists

Summer is right around the corner, and while the weather might not always feel like it, there’s no better time to start shopping for new accessories, be it strappy sandals, face mists or a new nail varnish.

Ditch the chipped nails or hastily applied coats of paint, and instead freshen up your wardrobe with the hottest nail colours this year.

Corals, flesh colours, raspberries and milky whites are set to be popular this summer, according to Krisztina van der Boom, co-founder of DryBy hair and nail salon. “Anything to complement a slight tan,” she tells HuffPost. She is a particular fan of the CND Shellac Boho Spirit Collection, which features hot pinks, vibrant oranges, muted nudes and earth-toned yellows.

Juanita Huber-Millet, founder of Townhouse,  a nail bar in central London says this summer opt for delicate nail art designs for weddings, with bolder shades for your summer holidays. In terms of colours, she says: “Pinks, nudes and pastel shades are always popular in the warmer months and neons are perfect for the beach.”

If you haven’t got the budget, or the time, for an indulgent manicure at your local salon, then worry not. We’ve rounded up our favourite shades available on the high street so you can step into summer in style for a fraction of the cost.
