Jack Whitehall To Present An Episode Of The Graham Norton Show This Month

Jack Whitehall is set to step into Graham Norton’s shoes later this month, by guest hosting the presenter’s Friday night chat show.

The comedian will front one episode of Graham’s show on May 17 while the regular host is in Tel Aviv in order to cover the Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place the following day.

Jack hosted the Brit Awards earlier this year

It’s the first time in 20 years that Graham will have missed a show and addressing the news, he said: “I’m thrilled to know that I am leaving the show in Jack’s capable hands.

“He is bound to do an amazing job. I should warn him not to get too comfortable in my chair though, because like a slightly fey terminator, I’ll be back.”

“I was so honoured Graham asked me to do this for him,” Jack added. “The thought of stepping into his huge showbiz boots fills me in equal measure with fear and excitement.

“Worst case, I will make everyone appreciate just how lucky we are to have him.”

Graham will be jetting off to Israel

The guests that week will include The Hobbit star Luke Evans, singer Paloma Faith and Game Of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie.

Graham has a busy month ahead of him, as the weekend before Eurovision, he’ll host the TV Baftas in London.

Unfortunately – despite the fact he’s the go-to interviewer of choice for A-listers on the promo trail – Graham won’t be walking home a winner, as he missed out on any TV Bafta nominations.
