Teen In Major Trauma Centre After Stabbing On Bus In Hackney

A teenage boy is in hospital after being stabbed on a bus in Hackney.

Officers were called to Clapton Common, east London, at 2.47pm on Wednesday after reports of a person stabbed, where they found the victim, believed to be in his mid-teens, with stab wounds.

An air ambulance attended the scene. No arrests have been made and the boy’s condition is not yet known, the Metropolitan police said in a statement.

Video posted to social media showed a police cordon in place with an ambulance and police van at the scene.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.53pm today (6 February) to reports of an incident on Castlewood Road, Stoke Newington.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a single responder in a car and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a person at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing, police said.
