Jennifer Lawrence Engaged To Art Dealer Cooke Maroney, Rep Confirms

Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed that she is engaged to her art dealer boyfriend, Cooke Maroney.

The Oscar-winning actress was first reported to be engaged by Page Six, who quoted sources claiming she’d been seen sporting a “massive ring” while out for dinner with Cooke in New York.

Her rep then confirmed to People magazine that the rumours were true, having first revealed they were an item in June of last year.

Jennifer and Cooke are reported to have been introduced by her close friend, Laura Simpson, with whom she attended the Oscars in 2014, the year she was nominated for American Hustle (and famously took a bit of a tumble on the red carpet).

More recently, the couple have been spotted out together on numerous occasions, including on a romantic break to Paris and Rome over the summer, and at a screening of The Favourite in September.

Jennifer was previously in a long-term relationship with British actor Nicholas Hoult – who is currently starring in The Favourite alongside Olivia Colman and his ex’s close friend Emma Stone – for a number of years, until they eventually split up for good in 2014.

The Hunger Games star has previously dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and film Darren Aronofsky, who helmed the critically divisive mother!, which she starred in back in 2017.

According to USA Today, Cooke works as the director at New York’s Gladstone Gallery.

Although best known for her work as an actress, including four Academy Award-nominated film roles across a five-year period, Jennifer said last year that she intends to take a break from Hollywood to focus on activism, more specifically getting young people interested in politics.
