‘Dancing On Ice’ Judge Jason Gardiner Brands Critics Who Question His Credentials ‘Homophobic’
Jason Gardiner has dismissed critics of his judging style on ‘Dancing On Ice’, suggesting much of it is rooted in homophobia.
Over the years, Jason has become known for his acerbic put downs on ‘Dancing On Ice’, though some have questioned his credentials, as he doesn’t actually have a background in ice skating.
However, he’s taken on his critics in an interview with Talk Radio, insisting that just because he isn’t a professional skater himself doesn’t mean he isn’t qualified for the panel.

“Ashley [Banjo] and I are there looking at the dancing element, and my credentials definitely speak for themselves in that respect.”
Jason went on to explain that he has always been a big admirer of ice skating, insisting he has a “good understanding” of the sport, despite not being a pro himself.
He concluded: “It’s just laughable to me that people still don’t get why I’m there, but also challenge me because I don’t skate. Simon Cowell can’t sing! The hypocrisy of it all is laughable, and if you want to get really serious, I think it’s insidious homophobia, but anyway, let’s not [get into] that…”
