Pink has proved that she and Christina Aguilera have truly drawn a line under their former feud, by recording a duet together.
The ‘What About Us’ singer, who is currently promoting her most recent album ‘Beautiful Trauma’, is thought to have had a long-standing rivalry with Christina, dating back to when they both emerged on the pop scene at the same time.
Despite having both appeared on the ‘Moulin Rouge!’ collaboration ‘Lady Marmalade’, rumours of a feud culminated in Pink having to address claims she was visibly grimacing during a recent performance from Christina at the American Music Awards, which paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston.
Revealing just how far she and her former rival had come, she told The Sun: “We did a duet for her album and I don’t know when it’s coming out but it’s amazing.
Addressing the ongoing trope of pitting female stars against one another, Pink continued: “It is really frustrating, but I fight back. I do it less than I used to but I do when I think the narrative needs to be changed.
Christina Aguilera’s fans have been waiting five years for her to unveil a new album, with her most recent collection, ‘Lotus’, having been released in 2012.
It’s thought she’s worked with Mark Ronson and Tayla Parx on her forthcoming seventh album, as well as long-time collaborator Linda Perry, who co-wrote past Christina cuts ‘Beautiful’, ‘Candyman’ and ‘Hurt’.
