Three more stars have joined the ‘Dancing On Ice’ line-up, with Candice Brown, Max Evans and Jake Quickenden being confirmed for the show on Wednesday (1 November).
All three had been previously rumoured to be taking part, with the first two confirming the news on Chris Evans’ Radio 2 breakfast show.
Max said: “I haven’t done any skating since I was a kid, and this is completely different having to skate on live television.
“I’ve had two training sessions which have hurt my feet a lot. We’ve all had a dance, which is familiar territory, but skating is so not…”
Candice will get her skates on for the first time later today and admitted: “It’s nerve-wracking. My friends call me Bambi on Ice and that’s just normal day to day!”
Following this announcement, former ‘X Factor’ singer Jake became the sixth star confirmed for the line-up, as confirmed during an interview on ‘Lorraine’.
Jake is no stranger to reality TV, and after putting ‘The X Factor’ behind him in 2014, went on to star in both ‘I’m A Celebrity’ and the most recent series of ‘The Jump’.
A total of 12 celebrities will be taking part in the series when it returns to our screens in early 2018.
So far, the line-up includes a former ‘Love Island’ contestant, a ‘Coronation Street’ star and, last but absolutely not least, a member of Bucks Fizz. The other stars taking part will be named in the coming weeks.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return to host the show while Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will make the switch from acting as coaches for the celebs, to becoming judges alongside Jason Gardiner.
A fourth judge – potentially Ashley Banjo – is also set to be confirmed in the coming months.
